At Off The Top, we pride ourselves on our focus on high quality, comfort, and relaxation. We are a single appointment shop, allowing each client to receive the technician's full attentiveness.
Owned and operated by Cowlitz County local Ryan Conover since 2018, community is important to us at Off The Top. We opened our shop with the intention of supporting local commerce, seeing an opportunity to bring to our neighborhood the kind of specialty services that, for many years, could only be found by driving into the city. Conover began his career working in some of the top rated shops around Oregon and Washington and also managed several franchise chains over the course of 20 years in the industry doing both men and women's cuts. He has vast experience in both classic barbering and also full beauty salons, he is well equipped in color and all kinds of chemical services, hair designs based on features, styling and product knowledge, and all kinds of classics and modern barbering techniques . While Ryan loved his time in the city, he felt driven to bring his talents and passion for his work to the community that he lives in, and he has never looked back.
With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, we offer everything from traditional barbering such as straight razor shaves, to relaxing hot towel services. We welcome everybody at our shop, from all walks of life and with all varieties of hair texture, color, and features.
Fueled by a heart for the local community, Off The Top offers more than “just a haircut”, we provide a personal and relaxing experience. Clients are welcome to enjoy a complimentary beverage on our outside patio with a beautiful view of the local landscape. For our younger clients, we offer coloring books, puzzles, toys, and an outdoor playground. Our goal is for every client to enjoy their experience with us, and walk away feeling confident, refreshed, and content.

I offer everything from traditional and classic barbering such as straight razor shaves and services, to relaxing hot towel experiences, to the latest in men’s styles short or long, no matter the texture, color blending if needed, and more! I have nearly two decades of experience in the industry, worked in the most exclusive shop in Portland, and I was an educator for advanced barbering and hair styling techniques for up and coming talent in Portland for years.
